Designed in our NYC studio

Solfatara + Mimosa takes its name straight from the source—two antique hyacinths, pictured side by side on a single nineteenth-century plate.

‘Solfatare’ and ‘Mimosa’ were named hyacinth varieties—one coral-red, one deep purple—drawn for a Haarlem bulb-grower’s album now held at the a historical design archive. We lifted the two blooms off the plate, turned up the color, and cut them into a quilt-like grid in gold, violet, and coral red. The result reads more like a modern textile than a vintage print—clean lines, big blooms, zero hesitation.

Throw it over denim, a blazer, or a beat-up coat. It holds its own without shouting, and it’s built to stay in rotation for years.

  • 100% silk habotai
  • Two antique hyacinth varieties (‘Solfatare’ and ‘Mimosa’) reworked from a 19th-century album plate
  • Graphic, quilt-inspired layout in warm hues
  • Rolled baby hem for a neat edge
  • Versatile square: neck, hair, wrist, bag, or wall

A considered gift—arrives ready to wear.

Materials & Care

Material: 100% silk habotai (also known as China silk)—lightweight, smooth, and luminous with a subtle natural sheen.

Printing: Each scarf is made to order and printed with reactive dyes that set into the silk itself, so the color is permanent and won’t crack, peel, or fade. Finished with a rolled baby hem.

Care: Dry clean recommended. May also be gently hand-washed in cool water with mild detergent. Lay flat to dry. Iron on low heat with a pressing cloth if needed.
