Designed in our NYC studio

Meet Hyacinth, Duke of Wellington—floral, but make it graphic.

A historic hyacinth study is blown up, recolored, and set against a structured mosaic grid. Think botanical plate meets modern pattern, with saturated pinks, greens, and blues that refuse to blend into the background.

Tie it at your neck, knot it in your hair, or wrap it on a bag. It’s an easy daily piece that still feels like something you’ll keep in rotation for years.

  • 100% silk habotai
  • Hyacinth motif based on a 19th-century botanical illustration
  • Roman mosaic–inspired geometric overlay
  • Rolled baby hem for a clean edge
  • Versatile square for neck, hair, wrist, or bag

A considered gift—arrives ready to wear.

Source. “Hyacinth, Duke of Wellington,” plate by James Andrews from Edward George Henderson’s “The Illustrated Bouquet,” chromolithograph, ca. 1857–1864. Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum (CC0).

Origin & Provenance. Designed in our West Village studio by artist Paul Morris. Each scarf begins as an original photograph or collage, digitally printed to order on 100% silk habotai, in editions of 100.

From our Botanical Silk Scarf Collection. Pair it with the Solfatara + Mimosa Silk Scarf. Available in 26″, 36″, 50″ squares.

Materials & Care

Material: 100% silk habotai (also known as China silk)—lightweight, smooth, and luminous with a subtle natural sheen.

Printing: Each scarf is made to order and printed with reactive dyes that set into the silk itself, so the color is permanent and won’t crack, peel, or fade. Finished with a rolled baby hem.

Care: Dry clean recommended. May also be gently hand-washed in cool water with mild detergent. Lay flat to dry. Iron on low heat with a pressing cloth if needed.
